At the heart of Girls on the Run are amazing volunteers whose commitment and passion change the lives of thousands of girls each year.

coach a team

Warm-up your spirit fingers, lace up your sneakers and inspire a group of girls to be strong and healthy. Teams of volunteer coaches facilitate our easy-to-follow curriculum with small groups of girls over the course of 10 weeks. Amidst the conversation, laughter, hugs and energy awards, you will witness transformational change in the girls and don't be surprised if you realize that you are positively changing as well!

"I coach for Girls on the Run because every girl deserves to have a safe space to laugh and learn... and I get to laugh and learn at every practice too!"

- Coach Sharon

“Teaching girls to take pride in themselves is a great reminder of our own potential worth.”

- Volunteer Mary

"I have watched so many girls grow and learn that they are valuable, important, and strong. And I have learned right along side our girls, that I am valuable, important, and strong."

- Coach Allison

"From the moment I learned of GOTR I have wanted to do all I can to make a difference. This has given me the opportunity to help raise money for a good cause, learn new fundraising skills, and meet more people like myself."

- Volunteer Jessica
