Girls on the Run of Lancaster is a non-profit organization whose mission is to use the power of running to educate and prepare girls in 3rd through 8th grades for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Girls on the Run combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running event with a whole person approach: physical, emotional, mental and social. Our programs instill self-esteem through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships and physical training–all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff and the community.
We are currently inviting volunteer coaches to contact us about future site locations. You do not have to be a runner to be a coach!
Girls on the Run of Lancaster is an independent council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of approximately 180 councils across the United States and Canada.
