Coaching Opportunities

Girls on the Run-Lancaster is now inviting those interested in coaching opportunities to contact us.  GOTR will provide all necessary training, background checks and coaching materials.  Check it out!  You do not have to be a runner to be a coach!

Requirements for The Head/Co-Coach:

  • Become CPR/First Aid certified
  • Submit Child Abuse & Criminal Record clearances
  • Attend full day Coaches’ Training
  • Prepare for and supervise 20 - 1 hour and 30 minute long lessons in a manner consistent with the GOTR philosophy and curricula
  • Plan and coordinate the end of season banquet

Requirements for The Assistant Coach (or coaches):

  • Submit Child Abuse & Criminal Record clearances
  • Attend each lesson or share practices with another assistant coach, keeping a consistent schedule.
  • Assist the girls by offering encouragement and participating in games and workouts
  • Be an enthusiastic cheerleader for the team
  • Attendance at scheduled meetings and other events
