Packet Pick-Up

 

 

Girls who are currently participating in the program are already registered for the 5K and will receive their 5K materials (bibs, pins, goody bags) the morning of the event. For all other 5K participants (Running Buddies, coaches, family members and community participants), packet pick-up information is as follows:

When and where is the GOTR 5K?

DO I NEED TO REGISTER FOR THE 5K?

CAN I BRING MY DOG OR PET?

For safety, all furry friends are not allowed on the course or at the event, so please leave all pets at home on 5K day! All pets will be asked to return to the pet owner's vehicle if spotted at the event.

WHERE TO PARK RACE DAY

Parking information for our Spring 5K will be available in late April. 

Can I register after the registration cutoff?

You may register in person: Friday, May 19th from 11:00am-6:00pm in the lobby of Mayser Gymnasium at F & M or from 7:00am-8:30am on the morning of the event at the Registration Tent in Sponaugle-Williamson Field.

What else do I need to know about the GOTR Spring 5K?

Strollers and walkers are welcome at the race. If you will have a stroller or are walking the 5K, please consider lining up toward the rear of the race start to minimize the injury potential of runners who may be trying to get around you. Thank you! Pets and personal music devices (ipods and MP3 players) are not allowed at the race. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Where is a good place to watch my runner on the course?

Spectator Etiquette and Recommended Viewing Locations will be available in late April.

What will happen on the morning of the 5K?

6:00AM - Arrival for pre-race set-up (staff and set-up volunteers)

7:00AM - Day-of registration/shirt and bib pickup for buddies and family members opens (open until 8:30AM) and sponsors arrive.

7:30AM - Coaches arrive

8:00AM - Girls arrive and go to team locations. Get primped and bedazzled for your 5K!

8:30AM - All eyes on stage! Energy cheer / encouragement and announcements

8:50AM - Proceed to starting line. There will be signs and balloons for safety starting points: (Purple: Run entire 5K, Green: Run and walk the 5K, Pink: Mostly walk the 5K)

9:00AM - 5K Start! Run, hop, jump, skip, and gallop your way to the finish line!

9:05AM - Very Important Celebrators meet at the finish line

10:00AM - (or when last runner arrives) Girls meet with school teams, get medals and food/drink. Please stick around to enjoy the GOTR atmosphere, race food, and medals. GOTR apparel and novelty items will be for sale at the Merchandise Tent.
